Much of our work will be done for us because now that the Republican party is in control, they will all be fighting for their goals to be pushed through.

Problem is, they don't all have the same goals. Far from it.

I think we will be able to enjoy some fault lines that have been growing over the years REALLY blow apart over the next year or so.

If we have our ducks in a row, we can really exploit the fault lines to our advantage for 2006 and 2008.

1. They will take the proverbial mile and then some.
These people go too far and it will bring a backlash. How far right can you go before it becomes left again?

Even if it's within their own party.

Now that we're not their enemy, they will turn on each other when they sense resistance from other factions within their party.

Falwell or Robertson (I forget which) said they'd start their own evangelical party if they didn't get precisely what they want.

2. If we ignore the talk shows which I never listen to anyway, don't spend
any money we don't have to and ignore the cable media who will they have to talk to? Let them self-destruct and they will because, quite frankly, who will they have to talk down to, but their own! It's gonna be sweet!
