Are You Going to Continue to Watch the Media Whores & Enrich Them??
I imagine there is some falling off of viewership now that the election is over. If Democrats were to turn off these whores, some of them might not make it another four years without giving us something to watch. They all can't make a living off of republican kissing day in and day out. In fact, look at their "on line polls" they run each day. 99% of the time the results were very "dem/liberal" which meant we are the ones watching CNN and MSNBC. That's when I realized that if we walk, they tank. It's time to say 'thanks' to the whores...don't you think??? Vote by clicking the remote to 'off'. And, when it comes to the evening news, if you watch try to watch whomever takes on this administration and challenges it. Switch off the cheerleaders permanently (when Tom leaves in December, NBC without Dem viewership could end up at the bottom of the ratings heap). This is one way the Dems can fight back.

1. NO
I've made a concerted effort not to go to corporate media websites -- don't watch TV news except for Lehrer & BBC (thank you TIVO!)

18. I have a TiVo, so I know my clicks are tracked (not personally, but as
a block), but this has nothing to do with ad buys or revenue.

3. Seriously. No more Tweety. No more "Capital Gang"...
No more of that shit. I'll watch the umpteenth "Seinfeld" rerun before I watch Mrs. Greenspan shilling away for her boy Bush.

4. Tuned out before the election and will stay tuned out.
I will not watch them, I will not go to their web sites or participate in their polls. If they want to entertain the Right exclusively, then that is their choice. MSNBC, CNN and the rest took the calculated risk that Liberals would tune them out, and apparently they decided they didn't care. My entire household is off TV, and our outlook is better. We don't listen to the radio, either.

7. Nope, I'm done with them
There is no reason to watch them. Before Tuesday, I felt I needed to know what they were saying and respond, as if that'd do any good.

They got their Boy King. I'll watch Keith Olbermann, my local news, and Daily Show, and no other "news" beyond that.

8. Nope.
I will continue to watch Jon Stewart and Seinfeld reruns. Nothing else. I haven't had cable news on since 11-2 when NBC called OH for the deranged monkey man.

I also refuse to participate in their online polls. I will not click on their sites to play the game. I also plan to opt out of Zogby's interactive polls. My opinion is none of their fucking business.

10. I've not watched the TV news or
read a newspaper since election night. The only shows I watch on TV now are The Daily Show, Letterman, and Conan. I no longer watch the PBS Newshour, O'Reilly, or Washington Journal. It's not that I'm angry with them or out of protest, it's just I've lost interest. It doesn't seem to matter much anymore. Eventually I'll go back to the Newshour and the newspaper, but I don't see a point in the rest. Less TV is always better and laughter is always good.

14. I am going to watch Franken on Sundance. Maybe Olberman but
probably not. I think the best thing to do is to stop arguing with them. After my episode yesterday I feel like I have made my last argument to anyone on the opposing side. They wanted him they got him, unleashed. There are other ways to resist that involve far less wear and tear. Hit em where it hurts. The pocketbook. I used to feel like I needed to see what they were up to but you know what? I already know all I need to know about that. Can you get AAR on Sirius?
sp? I will install that too if you can get AAR. I think any Democrat is a fool to go on any show where Dick Morris is the supposed other Democrat. Just let em talk to each other.

20. Last night
we watched Home Improvement and Seinfeld re runs. We have Netflix. We have several seasons of CSI we haven't seen, a number of good British mysteries, endless classic movies.

I will not be turning in to CNN, MSNBC, FUX, CNBC. Screw them. If something big happens, I'm sure someone will call me or it will be posted here.

21. Yep, I'm there!
You are so right! WE are the ones watching them! Remember last year when major networks started reporting drop in viewership? Well, that time coincides with the time I got totally fed up with them all and started reading newspapers and getting news on the internet instead. I believe this was when many of us realized the media was screwed and began to turn elsewhere. They felt it.

Still, though, I watched some things like Hardball and After Hours and The Evening News but no more. None of them. Television news is crap. All of it. Chris Matthews is a media whore and I don't know why anyone ever thought otherwise. Screw them. Until they start to honestly and boldly represent our side, at least equally to the GOP they are useless and I wish other Dems would tune them out, too. We are half the population for crying out loud! (No, more when you consider BBV and voter fraud.) It's time to stand up and demand the attention and fair treatment we deserve?

So glad you mentioned they track what you watch on satellite. I was not sure if they would even know if I never turn on MSNBC, etc. I'm going to program my remote so that I won't even stop on them by accident. They are irrelevent now.

On the other hand, HBO is cool and Sundance. Discovery Times is also great and others you mentioned above.

Let's use our power of numbers!
