Another Crowley Outrage
Was anyone else as furious as I was over CNN's 1 hour special tonight about the Iowa caucus?

As usual, RNC spokeswoman Candy Crowley dug up a faux "Democrat" who is anxious, nay eager, to vote for Bush this November. I recall when she did a similar story during the New Mexico debate, when she 'reported' on the flood of Hispanic "Democrats" who were going to vote for Bush in the general.

Aaron Brown hosted this segment. I've written to him asking why Crowley never reports on Republicans who plan on voting for the Democratic nominee (and offered my own answer: because she's an open advocate for Bush). I also indicated that having Crowley report on the Democratic primary season is like the devil reporting on Christmas.

I don't care if Crowley is only doing AOL/Time Warner's corporate dirty work. I still think we should flood them with protests every damn time she pulls this crap, and it might be useful to add that we're still a substantial portion of the population.

1. Edwards says he gets lots of Republicans at events saying the're switching
parties to vote for him in the primaries.

Maybe Crowley should talk to them.

2. great idea
...and I'll email your suggestion to Aaron Brown *and* CNN right now. We all should.

It's such obvious voter manipulation, like a new form of vote fraud, to have these constant myths about the swarm of Democrats who are voting for Bush. Out here in the real world, I have yet to meet one of these "Democrats". According to CNN, they abound.

22. I've heard that about Edwards. We get them at Dean
events to. I think there are many dissatisfied ones.

3. just to play devil's advocate
polls indicate a much larger percent of Democrats leaning toward Bush than Republicans leaning toward a Democratic candidate.

4. Curious. Did the "Democrat" say who he voted for in 2000?
And why?

I'm wondering if we've at last found someone who did not vote for Bush in 2000 who will vote for him in 2004.

And congrats to Candy for turning him up!

6. he didn't say
He was a funeral home director in Georgia and he was spouting about how out-of-touch culturally the Democrats are, and then Crowley cut to snippets from one of the debates where each candidate spoke of their support for gay and lesbian issues. Then a cut back to the crew-cut white guy who sighed deeply and said how glad he was that GW isn't 'afraid' to quote scripture in his speeches or pray for the country. He's still a "Democrat", mind you, he just seems to dislike the Democratic party and dislike separation of church and state.

9. Sounds like a "Dixiecrat" instead of a Democrat
Huge difference.

And it's quite telling that no one asked him who he voted for in 2000.

10. "GW isn't 'afraid' to quote scripture or pray for the country"
Junior can quote Scripture all he wants, but he obviously doesn't have a clue what it means, and neither he nor any member of his Fraudministration are Christians by any definition I recognize.

And I too pray for this country. Every day that criminal piece of shit is in the White House. :scared:

5. Neecy --
-- I just sent this email to CNN TV:

=====

Why did Candy Crowley fail to report on any Republicans switching to vote Democratic this year? She always does the Democrats-for-Bush angle. An obvious bias. Is the bias hers alone or is it a shared one among all CNN reporters? In any case, I think it's smarmy. News agencies used to have editors. Where are yours?

8. thank you!
At least enough complaints might keep her from doing a Democrat-voting-Bush segment a week.

Or, probably not.

7. Crowley, Election night 2000
I will always remember this.

She was in Austin, and after Gore retracted his concession she was just freaking out. Not in a "breaking news" kind of way, but in a "How DARE he" kind of way.

Bill's a fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative think tank.

CNN political team absolutely sucks!

13. I'd like to see one of our
photoshoppers put some wings on Candy and make her a flying pig. I think of that every time I see her.

We will never get any unbiased reporting from CNN, MSNBC, and that other channel. They are there to tell us how wonderful bush* is. Candy makes me sicker than Bob Novak!!!
