Secular Activism....
Edited on Fri Nov-05-04 07:32 PM by Maya29
I think there needs to a huge move in the Democratic Party to get away from God. They need to reiterate the importance of the division of church & state and point out what happens in countries that not do so.

A little anti-fundie fear mongering is in order.

I am Canadian so perhaps you can explain to me why in the debates John Kerry & George W Bush had to go on at length about religion?

We had a Conservative leader who stated he believed in creationism & he was laughed out of his party.

Really, if Fundamentalist Religion whether it be Judaism, Islam or Christianity isn't eradicated soon,we are all goners & I don't happen to think there are pearly gates or 72 virgins awaiting me, so I would like to postpone my departure from this Earth for as long as possible.

1. Anti-fundie fear mongering?
That anything like the anti-Muslim fear mongering we see from the Republicans?

Hey, how's that been working, anyways?

2. Our country was founded by puritan religious nuts who burned witches.
The roots of this go deep in our society. It's not that easy to exorcise.

4. The possibilities...
What about replacing Monday Night Football with Wednesday Night Witch Burning?

You know it makes sense.
