Yahoo is a free-for-all on their message boards. The most deranged freeper types posting the most repulsive crap you've ever seen against a bunch of beleagered but dogged and sincere liberals. I salute them for trying to reach others every day.

Due to the many freepers, I can only take it for so long at a time, but at the same time, DU is so strict I feel like its a bit of an echo chamber, and I want to at least TRY and help inform people who think differently than myself.

It's simply an offensive image, labeled as such.

and it was designed solely to inflame. Freepers often troll through here posting crap with the title, "Can you believe this shit?" No one who has spent more than a few days here is fooled anymore.

99.9% of my posts (and I must have more than 10 thousand) are in line with the mainstream here, but every so often, I'll post something like this, and a few hypersensitive souls like yourselves will go batshit.

I see no reason to get inflamed at EACH OTHER over what is a RW graphic. It makes me mad at them, not any democrats.

When someone posts a drudge link to a story about Ted Kennedy being back off the wagon or some other nonsense - THAT is disruption.
When their avatar is the book cover of "unfit for command" THAT is a freeper.

I fail to see how this fits either of those descriptions.

By the way, the vast majority of posts at DU are not "constructive" they deal with people's perceptions and feelings of what is going on around them.

This tacky graphic is a lot less of a slap in the face than the smug gloating we see on ALL the news channels right now.

What, we don't already know that RWers are ass holes? "Ted Kennedy off the wagon" and "Swift Boat" posters aren't the only freepers we see; they're just the OBVIOUS ones. Several of them (wrongly) feel that they have mastered the art of subtlety. If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong and I apologize; but nerves are a little raw around here right now and your post didn't help.

I am NOT a subtle freeper. I am a liberal democrat who thinks and expresses himself slightly differently than everybody else. I ask for yout tolerance since YOU didn't label me a freeper.

Stuff like that feeds the fires of my anger, and that's a big motivator to get up and keep fighting against these people.

But after 10,000 posts, perhaps you could check out how some inflamatory images are reacted to around here. Particularly now, when, as I said, nerves(at least mine)are rubbed just as fucking raw as they can get. Peace.
