Remember diebold's own creator promised he would deliver Ohio and Florida to Bush.

http://www.palmbeachpost.com/politics/content/news/epaper/2004/11/05/a29a_BROWVOTE_1105.html

Officials found the software used in Broward can handle only 32,000 votes per precinct. After that, the system starts counting backward.

Why a voting system would be designed to count backward was a mystery to Broward County Mayor Ilene Lieberman. She was on the phone late Wednesday with Omaha-based Elections Systems and Software.

Here is how they cheated by E-machines votes PAY ATTENION

saw this on another forum

Diebold used the old underhanded ATM trick.....Negative vote count aka negative numbers when doing a withdrawl.....So easy to do, it actually reverses the percentages immediately, making it seem like no fraud could happen!

6. normally
i could suggest that elizabeth might be watching but I know that she is going through the battle of her life now. We need to empower this gentleman . They are trying so we need to be good foot soliders and give them more tangible evidence to fight with. for example ohio...augalize and drake counties are irregular.. I state that based on the 2004 results compared to the 2000 results. People check that out and see if u see what i see. together i see approximately 4k votes that seem odd added with the 4000 that someone else found that could be 8000 votes we found awarded to bush that should not have been

3. Of course they stole votes for bush and
erased votes for Kerry. Anyone who thinks they didn't is living with "goofy in fantasy land"..and I just hope they can prove it.

I know smarter minds than mine are on this as we type.

8. Again, it was a simple software bug
A two byte signed integer was used for storing vote totals. This kind of variable can only hold values in the range of -32,767 to +32,767. If you try to put in a number outside its range, it just cycles through again. It's a boneheaded, elementary programming error but they happen all the time. And it's a much more obvious and simple explanation than the evil genius conspiracy theory.

I'll believe the photoshopped picture of the Ohio pickup truck with a Bush/Cheney sticker on the rear window being loaded with ballot boxes before I believe this one.

13. It's both unacceptable and unbelievably incompetent.
It is unacceptable for that kind of flaw to exist, and not terribly believable that it would be allowed to exist benignly.
YMMV.

19. It's as simple as saying
int PrecinctTotal;

when you should have said

long PrecinctTotal;

at the top of some routine. It will compile perfectly without error and produce the correct result when you run it against any sample data set that happens to total less than 32,767. It's exactly the sort of bug that could easily slip through developmental, alpha, and beta testing completely undetected because the data used didn't happen to sufficiently target it.

15. I'm with you
While we're obsessed with high tech fraud, I'm convinced the Republicans used the same voter suppression and vote elimination tactics as typical, simply in increased numbers and frenzy. Cleansed voter rolls, address changes on Dem Registrations, phony scare literature, 'your precinct has been changed' calls, access to absentee lists, and on and on.

I can't believe DUers are still searching for 378,000 votes in Florida. We lost Colorado, Iowa, New Mexico and Nevada combined by less than half that number, and three of those four in the right combination would put Kerry over the top.

17. It is 'curious' that this same error is showing up in all the states that.
the exit polls had Kerry but went for bush yet this same mistake did not happen to increase votes for Kerry. To say that this 'elementary programming error' explains anything other than how simple it was to defraud the American public of their democratic right of a vote cast, a vote counted is disingenuous to say the least, imo.

9. Where Is Everybody?
We are getting this information isn't anyone else getting it that can attempt to do something about it? Where are the leaders of the party or have they all gone away? We have all worked so hard on this election in any way we could and now it appears we have been abandoned. Maybe the leaders are quitters and maybe this is the reason we lost.
