4. Alan Simpson, wtf? Andrew Sullivan, wtf?
Alan Simpson couldn't have been more defensive (or pre-emptive) regarding the heretics that have taken over his party. Same goes for Andrew Sullivan, who - like most conservative windbags - thinks that the vocal volume of an argument has more worth than the context or evidence which supports it. I've been amused by dogs who chase their tails - but it disgusts me to watch conservatives do the same.

I wish I had the luxury of placating myself with a black and white understanding of complex issues. It must be a luscious experience to swagger through life in a state of such preposterous ignorance.

It has been a very. difficult. week. :grr:
