Poll favors Hillary vs. Rudy for 2008
http://www.nypost.com/news/nationalnews/31809.htm

November 6, 2004 -- WASHINGTON — Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Rudy Giuliani are the strongest 2008 presidential contenders in their respective parties — by a mile, the first post-election poll showed yesterday.

Clinton handily topped the field of 10 possible Democratic hopefuls —including John Kerry and John Edwards — with 27 percent support from Democrats and independents, according to the poll by McLaughlin & Associates.

Kerry came in second with 16 percent, and Edwards came in third at 7 percent, the survey found.

Rounding out the bottom of the pack were Sen. Evan Bayh of Indiana, Gen. Wesley Clark, newly elected Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, Rep. Harold Ford Jr. (Tenn.), and Virginia Gov. Mark Warner.

On the Republican side, Giuliani captured 30 percent among a field of seven possible candidates.

His closest competition was maverick Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona, favored by 18 percent of those questioned, according to Republicans and independents.

2. LOL! Yep, that's about it!
But seriously, Rudy can't run, for all the obvious reasons.

3. We'll let all America know all about Rudi's VALUES...
Installing his MISTRESS in the same house as his wife & children.

His BLAMING THE TROOPS for their own deaths & dismemberments.

Oh yes...taking Rudi down will be very enjoyable.

:)

4. Rudy won't get past the primaries.
The fundies wouldn't tolerate it.

And if he were to somehow, in some freakish manner, get the nod.. he'd have to contend with as much as 1/3 of the Republican base sitting at home on Election Day.

12. He is a weird person
He has the morals (adultry) of a repug but the agrees with issues of the Dems; pro-choice, pro-gay. To be president, he would have to start his own country.

16. Rudy Will Run...And We Can All Be Amused
I expect the next Repugnican emperor either has been selected or will be by the time their sham primaries take place in 2008. They're gonna have a new chimpster...all bought, paid for and control...who will have a lot of money who will pretend to battle with 5 or 6 goofy challengers. Even money puts Alan Keyes in this game, again (we always needed a black Harold Stassen), some fundie nut like Ralph Reed or Gary Bauer again, a Hagel (the next McCain) and jokers like Sanctorum and Rudy...all with big media markets and media buzz, but when the smoke is settled, the annointed one will have the crown placed upon his head and Freeperdom will submit.

but she's also one of the most admired AND the most hated women in America. Are we feeling lucky these days?

7. Rudy can't run.
Edited on Sat Nov-06-04 02:50 AM by gavodotcom
He's pro-choice*, blamed the military for al-QaQaa, and had a nasty divorce.

Even if he convinced the mouth-breathers he's a Saint, 9/11 won't be as important.

Although, that'd make hilarious imagery. I can see some grandson of Dubya standing in front of 50 year old pictures of 9/11 down the road.

He's out. Hillary doesn't have a shot against anybody else.

If moral values are to play a deciding part, these guys might as well be gay.

19. And since "exit" polls
have been declared worthless by the media....why should they push other polls. We all know Exit polls are more accurate than these inferior push polls are shown to us to manipulate and sway the sheeples!

Hillary Clinton is a good senator but she would be a loser in the general election...

If the Democratic party were to nominate her I would be forced to conclude they don't give a rip about winning ......

23. Sounds like a media selection preference for Celebrity Death Match
to me. I want the media out of the decision making processes for the nation. They are to report stuff after it happens, not shape the decision itself.
