We need to reclaim Revolutionary history

Right now the Red States often act as if they have a claim on American History and patriotism because of the Civil War and other historical events that are important to them. It seems like they have forgotten about the Revolution and how New Englanders and New Yorkers are the very people who created this country.

Since they are in a patriotic mood, I suggest that we create art, flims, books, and music that talk about the true definition of the term "Yankee", the fact that so many of our greatest national stories, ones that unite us all, took place in towns like Trenton, New Jersey, Long Island, New York, all along the Hudson River, Massachussetts, etc.

New Englanders, New Yorkers ... it's time to remind them of who we are in the American Story. Please try to think of these things as you create your art and academic works.
