Has anyone considered that Hillary hasn't said...
she has any intentions to run?

I'm a little annoyed by the idea that she definately will run, especially since this is mostly rooted in the right wingers unexplainable hatred and fear of her. Let's wait until we can see her intentions before worrying about her being an electable or not candidate.

1. Exactly
I've been so surprised at the amount of Hillary in '08 threads here in the last few days.

The only thing I've ever heard her say is that she intends to honor her committment to NY and finish her term as Senator.

Besides, while I think Hillary would be an excellent President, I think the last thing she probably wants is a replay of the 90's.
I have a feeling she likes her job a lot, and will run for re-election when the time comes.

Hillary running for President is nothing but a RW wet dream, and we all know why. Hillary is just a little too smart to fall into that trap, if you ask me.

4. Hillary, no. But Chelsea YES!!
2012. I have seen her in action. She has all the brains and poise of her parents and is much more likeable than both. I think she will be the first woman President.

5. I saw her speak about 3 weeks ago

She was spellbinding, awesome.gutsy and classy at the same time.

She lived in the South, a red state at that.

She is a Iron Lady.

I would vote for her any day of the week. I would campaign for her night and day!

Have you noticed how the Republicans can define our leaders?

Why do we allow them to do that and why do we buy into it?

7. exactly
Why do we allow them to define every damned aspect of our campaigns from candidates to issues to values?

We need to take charge. We need DNC leadership that will charge ahead after listening to OUR input, too. Them meeting in closed back rooms obviously hasn't worked very well in the last few elections, you'd think they'd learn something from that. I'm not saying EVERYTHING needs to be out here in the open, but some interactivity with all of US might help.

9. In fact, she has said the opposite...
She has said that she is focused on her job as a Senator and that she has no intention to run in 2008. Since that statement, I don't seriously entertain the idea of her running. Unless she changes her mind and her intentions and makes a public statement to that effect, what's the point?
