Map weirdness for the tinfoil hatters.
Don't like the look of the red/blue results map? This one is even worse:

The world of the future according to Edward Cayce

One of the first to foretell of coming cataclysms at the end of this century was Edgar Cayce, who was known as "The Sleeping Prophet". Cayce's predictions concerning this issue His predictions were very explicit:
" 1) Shift of the Earth on its axis c. 2000
2) Inundation of many coastal regions
3) London will be on the coast
4) Loss of much of Japan
5) Flooding of Northern Europe
6) Greenland disappears
7) New land appears off the coast of North America
8) Widespread destruction-L.A., S.F.- New York City disappears
9) Land bridge from South America to Antarctica
10) Warming of cool areas--cooling of warm areas
11) WW III- Followed by New Age" (4)

With St. Louis gone bet there will be a lot of people from St. Louis moving to Jim Crow land in Southwest Missouri. Our Farm could be on the ocean front. Hey I'm pumped!

Edited on Thu Nov-11-04 12:14 AM by GreenPartyVoter
North Dakota appears to be the edge of the new North Pole and there is hardly anything left of the current coasts and center of the USA.

Even so, being on the coast of Maine I will get wiped out either way if this happens in a hurry. *l*

17. Exactly. The areas between Rockies and the Sierras are high elevation
Edited on Thu Nov-11-04 12:41 AM by demwing
Mean elevation in Utah and Nevada sits between 5500 and 6000 feet above sea level. High points about 13000 feet up

Water runs down, I think, not up. Could be wrong...

23. Even the better maps would be wrong.
Edited on Thu Nov-11-04 08:50 AM by Silverhair
The plains areas are at elevations of above 4,000 ft. If the oceans rise that far they would also cover ALL of the East, except for a few hilltops in the mountains, and ALL of the Mississippi river basin. The map, and ANY map by him is just plain goofy.

And the earth shifting on its axis poses of ultra hugh gigantic problems. Due to the laws of physics I can safely say that it ain't gonna happen. If it did the earth's crust would also rip to pieces and the whole world would be covered by lava.

32. Has any of Cayce's predictions come true?
The only way that map of the West could be true is if the fault lines making up the Continental Divide shifted direction and pulled apart. They are still colliding (collision is the reason why the Rockies were made in the first place). To do this, the North American plate would have to split in two. Now, if that is the case, then Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming, not to mention the Rockies all the way up through the Yukon would be split into two continents, creating an ocean from the Gulf of California to the North Pole.

Supposedly the new land off the coast of North American will be down by Cuba, according to the Mayan Calendar which has "never been wrong."
