Dear Bloodthirsty Friends -- I received a "personalized" virus today.
And now I need to know what to do about it.
The sender was posting from a Juno account (which seems to have become disabled since then). I have contacted their abuse department, but frankly, they seem to be a little useless. Suggestions? Ideas? The virus document had MY NAME in it -- wasn't that just SPECIAL???
There's so many nowadays but many of the new ones use the recipient's user name as the filename.
You'll need to look at the email's headers which show where the email actually came from. The sender shown in the email is almost never the person that sent the virus
The account it was sent to is a "private" account that is never published. I hope this was just one of those nasty coincidences, and not someone going after the fraud data on my computer. Urk! This whole thing has me paranoid!!! :)
