Democrats Should Embrace Theodore Roosevelt
We need to convince more moderates and as many people who think they're conservative to join us.

The best way we can do this is to up our rhetoric on cultural issues to a libertarian-rage. I'm serious. Whenever the discussion turns to social issues, we should start going off about how the federal government needs to stay out of the home and out of the bedroom, etc.

And for social and economic policy, we need to embrace Theodore Roosevelt. Many Republicans, even Conservative Republicans, claim TR as their own, but his policies, while moderate, were clearly progressive. If we truly embraced Teddy Roosevelt on economic issues and anti-corporatism, etc., I think we might reap some rewards.

Or not. I don't know. I'm not a strategist. But what do you guys think?
