Cynthia McKinney knew the deal/pre-election concerns re: Diebold
she was on the local Black radio station the other day, and intends to make this an issue:

McKinney Insists on E-Voting Integrity

“Paperless voting has serious flaws. My campaign insists on the integrity of our election process.” -Cynthia McKinney

DeKalb County, GA (CynthiaForCongress.com) - There is growing evidence that paperless voting is chaos waiting to happen. Georgia elections are conducted on electronic systems manufactured by Diebold Corporation, which do not produce a verifiable paper audit trail. Without a verifiable audit trail, the election is entirely in the control of Diebold.

There is not only the potential for fraud that worries voters, but machine failure is also of great concern. There are already reports that the optical scan machines provided by Diebold to count the absentee and provisional ballots are failing at an alarming rate with dying batteries.
