PHDC issues great statement on why Kucinich shoud be House Minority Leader
THE PATRICK HENRY DEMOCRATIC CLUB CALLS ON ALL DEMOCRATIC MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO SELECT DENNIS KUCINICH AS THEIR MINORITY LEADER

Dennis Kucinich has repeatedly demonstrated that he has the courage and strength of character to stand up for the goals and dreams of the American people despite pressure from those who would take away those goals and dreams. He has never quit or given in to pressure. He has always been willing to put everything he has on the line to protect and support the people he represents. He also has the kind of idealism and strength of conviction that once made this country great. This is the kind of leadership the American people need.

The current leadership has cost the Democratic Party seats in each of the last two Congressional elections. This is because the Party membership and former membership have seen the Democratic Congressional leadership time and time again cave into George W. Bush’s politics of destruction, an example being Resolution 757, which linked Iraq to 9/11. The American people want to see an opposition party. That is why so many millions of Americans stood in long lines to vote Bush out of office. More people voted against George W. Bush in 2004 than have ever voted against a standing president at any time in history. The millions who supported the Democratic cause in the last election do not deserve to lose their dreams to the politics of compromise and surrender.

Dennis Kucinich gives people hope that the Party might stand for something. He convinced many who had left the Democratic Party to give it another chance. The best way you can prove that our party is worthy of their votes is to make Dennis Kucinich the Minority leader in the House of Representatives. If the House Democrats fail to rise to the call of the voters for a genuine opposition party of courage, then the voters that hung in there and the returning voters will never trust our party again.

3. Does anyone know when the house Dems choose?
Nancy's planning to be rubber-stamped, a recipe for disaster.
