6. Yes, she does.

I hold physicians and healers of all sorts in great respect; Dr. Dean has a worthy partner in Dr. Steinberg, and our nation would have an exemplary First Lady, should he win. :)

4. It's so cool that she shakes up the "first lady" role
What the media sees as some sort of weird "liability"(!?), I see as something long overdue--why expect a woman with a successful and fulfilling career to drop everything and host tea parties?

21. She really would shake up the first lady role.
I guess there was Eleanor Roosevelt and Hillary Clinton. But it sounds like this time we might have a working doctor as first lady. One small step for woman, one giant leap for woman kind.

5. she really lights up when she smiles
as do most women. A perfectly lovely trick God has granted to the fairer sex.

12. And so doesn't Howard. Did you see how proud he was of her?
It was so endearing. This couple has it. Agree Judy is much prettier than photos and speaks so well. So sincere. I like this woman!

7. Why do we care what she looks like?
She's an accomplished woman. That should be enough. :-)

10. Why do we have these shallow, insubstantial discussions about
the appearances of peoples wives? I thought we were progressives? Aren't we supposed to be above this?

And we can give as good as we get. Now when talk shows make spouses a voting issue...now thats sad.

18. I thin kHoward and Judy look perfect together
she has one of the best smiles I've ever seen :)

They look great together, and I hope she can make some more appearances. She has a very warm presence - and takes some of the edge off of her husband ;)

19. As much as I hate to say it, this is another Dean gaffe
Last week: press criticism that Dean's wife wasn't active in her husband's campaign

This week: Dean's wife joins the campaign

Conclusion: Dean is reactionary

20. He doesn't control the story the way people believe.
He has reacted once again to a news story. Like the religious one.
