Carville: Bush can't stand on a stage with Kerry.
Kerry is more of a man then Bush will ever be.

I think THAT is the storyline the Dem pundits and spokespeople want to take into the general election.

1. That was an epic Crossfire moment
I sincerely hope that we have a chance to see that play out. Bush and Kerry on the same stage? It is almost laughable.

2. He just said something about Kerry and Edwards together.

Good. Carville wouldn't have said it if he didn't want it said. Looks like Dem folks are going back to their original instincts.

4. Forget "more of a man", he's more of a human being and
as I said on an earlier post, Kerry just needs to stand next to Bush. He doesn't even have to open his mouth. That picture will be worth a thousand words, that is, if Bush lets it happen. I'm seriously wondering whether, if Kerry is the nominee, Bush will agree to debate him. After all, that's where the difference will be striking. Remembering the JFK/Nixon debate....with fondness!

8. I know. I was thinking of the one they always
show on the documentaries...Nixon with the beard. Actually, I was a kid and I listened to the debates on the radio. Everyone who listened on the radio thought Nixon won. Goes to show the power of pictures!

5. of course he can. They both know the secret skull 'n bonz handshake
That's the biggest thing I don't like about Kerry. Otherwise, his service record and stuff run circles around *.

Of course, I still think Kerry doesn't really want to run. (declaring during moon void of course, for you astrology buffs)

6. If only James Carville could be --
-- a little more OUTSPOKEN on behalf of Democratic candidates!

It pays to kid about it because Carville is so excellent on the key points against Bush.

Problem is, the points against Bush are longer than they have on that Crossfire program.

Hats off to Carville and cold beer for everybody!

9. I loved it!
And he really nailed them with Kerry's message of going forward too.

But frankly, I think the message is connections. Connecting people, connecting communities, connecting nations. We're all connected and we've got to keep reaching out and doing the hard work that brings people together to make change.

10. Carville has gone off the deep end
He was effective in 1992, maybe. Since then he seems to have lost any political insight he ever had. Kerry is never going to be the nominee. It will be Clark or Dean, I'd put money on it.

12. A Democrat's Democrat
I really think Democrats will choose the proven commodity in the end. That's the only way we can guarantee this country will go where we want it to again.

14. Carville just predicted Kerry and Edwards, 1 and 2 for tonight.
On Wolf Blitzer.

I think he's telegraphing his own feelings for a ticket.

13. Prediction ...

If Clark wins the nomination, Bush will refuse to debate him. Clark will drag Bush through a muddy minefield. He will expose Bush for the fraud he his.

15. I agree but
I though Carville was being somewhat of a jerk. Normally, of course, Carville and Begala yell at Carlson and Novak; Novak and Carlson yell back. But today, the two Republicans were fairly courteous and for the most part positive in tone. Yes, they did take a few shots at Dean and the Dems in general but overall the tone from the right was positive. But Carville didn't need to go Bush bashing today. Maybe another day, but not today, when the Republicans were being decent.

16. Bush couldn't carry Kerry's or Clark's flight suit.
And theirs wouldn't need the sock stuffed down in the boxers like Bush used just to hide his fear-shrunken pride.

Kerry has run the best campaign in Iowa and if he wins today, that's why.

Provided that the said candidate is ready to hit.
