A Torn Land of Torn Hearts in a Mist of Deception

That's the headline of the New York Times review today of
"Democracy", a new-to-Broadway play (from a hit run in London's West End) which opened last night.

Catch the review at:
www.nytimes.com/2004/11/19/theater/reviews/19demo.html

Reviewer says: "gripping study of the fraught glory years of Chancellor Wily Brandt of West Germany . . .an account of campaigning and vote tallying in a foreign country some 30 years ago.. . . .One of those rare dramas that don't just dare to think big but that fully translate their high aspirations to the state with sharp style and thrilling clarity."

I just got some good seats from Ticketmaster to take one of my (adult) kids for part of her Christmas present, and I can tell you seats are going fast after the glowing Times review.
