O.K., in the slim chance Kerry actually does win Ohio?
Wouldn't being elected President in this way almost force him to appoint some Republican Cabinet members as a show of "unity."

God knows the DLCers will certainly be pressuring him.

that he would appoint some Republicans in his cabinet if I remember correctly.

Which I think can be a good thing, there can be some good ideas on some issues from sane Republicans. There is something to be said (that Bushco would plug their collective ears to while singing nananananana I can't hear you) for having a diversity of opinion on your Cabinet in order to hear everything there is to know on a subject. Someone as intelligent as Kerry can hear the dissenting opinion, take what good can be gleaned from it and throw out the rest.
