What does the buddy list do? Other than male solitary typers sitting behind a PC think that they actually have some buddies?

And, uh, Senator McCain? Don'tcha think you shoulda brought up that little worry BEFORE THE FREAKING ELECTION, instead of seizing every opportunity to fellate the asshat who libeled you and your family in -00? Huh? Nice way to put your country ahead of your political ambitions... By the way, Senator, please take a few moments to kiss my patoot.

24. No idolator here, but I'll take your challenge!
McCain supported Bush because he believes in the Iraq War.

I think the war is wrong, but he doesn't. And yes, he stands up for what he believes because he knows Kerry really, really well. And he knew Kerry would fold like a cheap suit, which is what he did!

Kerry fighting for you? Bwwwahahah! Don't make me laugh!

29. Nope, not at all!
McCain has been for cutting waste & junk out of the BLOATED bills filled with pork, so spending can go to places where it's really needed.

Don't know if you followed the debate in the Senate (several threads here) where McCain joined with a few Republicans & some Dems to vote NO on the obscene bill that was just passed.

He joined Kennedy, Byrd, Boxer, Hagel, just to name a few. And plenty of Dems voted AYE, like Clinton, Feinstein, etc.

He has been the biggest fiscal hawk in the Senate.

If they weren't spending all the pork money & giving away money to corporations, they could fund the war more easily.

And finally, I don't support the war, but we got into it, & a lot of dumb Dems voted for it.

After almost two years of being burglarized by Hallinburton, McCain the founder of the Golden Goose Award JUST DISCOVERED that there's waste.

He must be shocked. SHOCKED I say!!

30. And additionally, the opening post said he was worried about
spending on the war.

No link.

What is the worry? Too much money? Not being spent efficiently?
Being directed wrong? Being wasted?

Just curious because you always jump in to prop him up.

I can't link to C-Span coverage on here. The original post was made during his floor commentary worrying about how we'll have money to keep fighting in Iraq while we spend money on the Rock and Roll Hall of fame and controlling snakes in Guam.

32. I watched most of the debate
He voted no on the OBSCENE bill.

Sadly, many Dems voted Aye.

No, I am not an idolator of McCain.

I am fed up with politics today; it has become hateful, & angry, & mean. You can disagree with people...fine...but when cancer is wished upon a person, that goes too far.

There are many Republicans who really are extremist wing-nuts, & he's not one of them.

I'm just tired of a man who has given so much to his country, ridiculed in such a vicious way.

I think I may take a break from this board & from politics. I've gotten into arguments on other subjects, too, like our troops are mass murderers & war criminals.

I came here because I wanted to see Bush defeated. I think he's dangerous for our country. I worked harder for Kerry than I ever did for anyone else. But I was disappointed in the campaign.

And yeah, this is a rant, because I'm fed up with the hypocrisy. Some days I don't know whether I'm at DU or Free Republic.

33. I certainly did not wish cancer on him
He did give a lot to this country. And what was his thanks from Rove and Bush? And then to turn around and campaign for Bush and hug Bush? That in itself is ridiculous.

35. No, I did not mean that you wished cancer on him
it was someone else.

And McCain campaigned & supported Bush in 2000, soon after the infamous S.Carolina primary.

Because he's a Republican & felt it his duty to do so. Yet in 20004 everyone was surprised when he supported Bush. Dems were mad for Kerry's sake, & I understand that. But that would have been against McCain's sense of honor. He would have been a Republican Zell Miller.

39. A "nice exchange of ideas" does not apply
when you claim that McCain's beef, after almost two years of being ripped off by Halliburton, is about waste.

Days after the election in which he campaigned for bush* he realizes there's waste.

No, that's no too coincidental.

18. At first I thought, there MUST BE a QUID PRO QUO
But McCain's quid has not been delivered for that disturbing pro quo yet.

Now I'm starting to think that the weecowboy has something really dicey on McCain. Lord only knows what's hidden away in those Nam era DOD (or other, not subject to the Privacy Act-type) files....

That photo is the WORST, but I saw others during their little 'twosome on the road' during the campaign, and in every one, McCain looks constipated, distressed, trapped, and generally MISERABLE. Like a man with a gun to his head.

It's hard to imagine which is worse, a secret deal for a coveted job, or blackmail.

But I'll give him credit for voting against it. Hagel as well.
