Republicans Lose Battle With Republicans
On again, off again, today the Republicans defeated the Republicans' Intelligence Bill.

Pelosi said: "Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the White House, and the blame for this failure is theirs alone" O8)

Lieberman said: "The commander in chief in the middle of a war says he needs this bill to protect the American people" screeeech!

Yesterday it looked like the Republicans would win, so after a hard day of kicking Republican ass, how's a Republican to gloat?

"Give me a cigar," said the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Kan. He flashed a "V" for victory with his hand after signing off on the deal.(I'm picturing the Monopoly Banker)

Levin, irrelevantly the dem on the Senate Intel Com, expressed concern at a lack of oversight written into the bill. Oh well, that's never been a problem before!

It would be interesting to know if the amendment to strike requirements about officials reporting investments survived to the final bill.

In this case, I guess you can only root for the Republicans to continue shredding Republican legislation

Go.....Republicans yeh yeh yeh

2. How long do they think they can continue to eat their own
without some kind of retaliation? They are so smug that I'd love to see it happen!

5. The criminals keep shredding all this
legislation put in place to regulate the Dems, while eating their own.

Then comes the revolution, rebellion, insurrection, the criminals go down and are dealt with.

After the Civil War II, the more moderate repugs and real Dems take over and correct the errors, unencumbered by the maze of rules and laws put in place to confuse, confound and obstruct their opposition.
