IT WAS A HUGE ISSUE. But not as big as HOMOSEXUALS.
These people would rather die a thousand deaths or lose their job than to see two males kissing each other.
NO YOU SAY?

"It may surprise you all to know that I have been a democrat most all my life. My Grandpa Curtis told me when I was a boy that as long as I carried a lunch box that I had better vote for the democrats because they were for the working man. And this proved to be true all through my working years (43 years total)... And I realize that voting for Bush will in all probability not help my personal situation as far as retirement, disability social security, or Medicare. But this isn't the issue, is it? For God will take care of my needs if I follow Him and this I leave in His hands...

We are in a unique time, a time in which this nation is going to voice whether we continue serving Satan or whether, we as a nation, will repent and serve God by placing Him back at the helm and core of this country."

These people don't give a flying fuck about American Jobs or an American Future. The Rapture is coming.

"Well little flock, I may not be much on politics. I may not be much of a preacher. But as a child of God, saved and born again, I do know that Christ died for our sins and arose from the grave and is alive in and sitting on the right hand of God the Father. I also know that Christ is soon to return for His children and that time is very close. It may not make much difference who gets into the White House tomorrow for if the right one gets voted in, it will only prolong the inevitable according to the scriptures. For how long: I don’t know but I do know that you and I as Christians must not throw up our hands and just quit."

Fuck, can't compete with that shit.

There are no winning these people, for these people DO NOT believe in the future. They don't believe in science. There is no changing this mindset. They are lost. The only hope is trying to get the next generation to fight for their future. Howard Dean realized that before anyone else.....hopefully he will continue the struggle.........for A future...

1. We HAVE to get some clear thinking liberals on school boards across U.S.
The fundie wingers are rushing us into a dark age and we have got to make sure our children learn to THINK.

2. Spend, spend, spend, the RAPTURE is coming!
Who cares what the federal deficit balloons to, there is no earthly tomorrow for the Evangelical flock, who are primed to rapture us all into oblivion.

4. These same people talk about how the Muslim nations are
backwards, primitive, living in the 13th century.

The fact is, the Islamic world was the hope and light of reason and science until Xtian crusades devastated their culture. Privation, constant warfare and religious extremism bankrupted them and robbed them of their scientific preeminence.

The same thing is happening to us.

Five hundred years from now people will look at the constantly warring states of North America, other than those reclaimed by a resurgent Mexico, and wonder that there was once a nation here that was the hope of freedom worldwide.

8. exlusionary religions rely on hate and fear to prop up their inferiority
complexes. I was raised in the southern baptist church in texas and they believe they are persecuted, that keeps the people in line and the money coming in.

now that the white racists christians cannot legally lynch black people the homosexuals are the only safe victims.

bet the shrimping industry in texas and louisiana whould not like a PR campaign reminding people that the bible says eating shrimps is an abomination (Leviticus i think)

9. Obviously, these nutjobs can't be reasoned with...
but that doesn't mean that there aren't a lot of moderates and independents hungry for a message about job creation/retention.

While Kerry's message was better than *'s, it didn't help that he started every sentence on the subject with, "Clearly, we can't stop all outsourcing...". Although this may be technically true, it came across as "don't expect much". Which is pretty much what he meant, IMO.
