I just heard on CNN thar Bill Clinton...
Did not run in Iowa in 1992. Is this true? I missed most of the clip.

2. I think it's that he didn't campaign there.
If I remember correctly. Tom Harkin was running and was presumed to be the winner of Iowa. So, Clinton and the other candidates didn't focus on Iowa. Clinton came in 4th.

13. Sorta
I think Uncommitted was second behind Harkin, but out of the candidates, it was Harkin, Tsongas, and Clinton. Link

4. No one challenged Iowa Senator Harkin who was running for Dem nom.
It would have been stupid to do so, because no one would have beat him.

Then Clinton was defeated by Tsongas in New Hampshire in a tight race. Read the history of that one...it's really interesting.

9. Clinton turned defeat into victory in New Hampshire
by getting the media to report his second place showing as a 'comeback'.

That guy was some politician...

6. I would seriously doubt the intelligence of a candidate who
wasted money running in IA against Harkin.

7. Yes, it's true but
unlike Clark, Clinton had a long and distinguished history as a Democrat, so don't get your hopes up. The good general f*cked up big time by dissing the debates and the state of Iowa.

8. Yeah, that's why his numbers are going through the roof
In New Hampshire and the Feb. 3 states. The good general knows nothing about strategy I tell you.

10. Through the roof? Clark's numbers have been DROPPING in NH.

1/12-14 24%
1/13-15 23%
1/14-16 22%
1/15-17 20%
1/16-18 20%

"While the 3-day results are unchanged and the daily trends show ballot preference for Howard Dean holding steady, John Kerry continues to gain at Wesley Clark's expense. Win or lose in Iowa, the attention Kerry is receiving from Iowa should be enough to push him in front of Clark for second place."

12. Well either they are going throught the roof or not.
Going down, even if that change is within the MOE, could not be considered 'going through the roof'. lol
