If CNN was broadcasting in 1774

Apparently it would be British-owned and the Revolutionaries would be called "insurgents". We'd be screwed.

I'm convinced we would be British if this media was as "strong" as they are now. Imagine a bunch of free-talking people that believed in a separation of church and state. They'd be hanged on TV.

Tom Paine - conspiracy nut

I'm sure our American history will soon be completely written to conform with the RNC approved version that will essentially delete our 1st 204 years. The revised version will start with "Morning in America - The election of our 1st true President, Ronald Reagan"

In fact, he was a vocal critic of Christianity and most organized religion.

As for King George and his attacks on other countries, it would be great fare for the media elite.

You would have loved some of the campaign materials. A new Declaration of Independence, "The Tea is in the Harbor," a Thomas Paine flyer, etc. The best part of that campaign was the appeal to American history, I'm convinced.

It is my understanding that the official British name for the Revolution is the "War of Insurrection," so your graphic would be "War Against American Insurrection."

Notice how "insurgent" and "insurrection" are strikingly similar? Funny, that....
