Poll question: CDN Minister of Immigration Importing Euro-Exotic Dancers: Saint or Skant?
The Canadian Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Canada,
Judy Sgro, is under extreme fire in Canada for expediting the immigration of exotic dancers from Eastern Europe at the expense of higher priority immigrants such as doctors and engineers, and has been accused of "pimping" by Opposition Parties.

http://www.canada.com/national/nationalpost/news/story.html?id=4b685104-1acd-40d7-9176-b7747bed5250

Minister Sgro's federal department has been visiting strip clubs to "learn of their dancer needs", and in the case of Alina Balaican, a 25-year-old stripper who worked on Minister Sgro's 2004 election campaign for Member of Parliament, the Canadian Minister later personally granted an immigration permit based on humanitarian grounds. (Of course, Minister Sgro denies any connection with the work permit visa she personally granted & that Euro-Peeler working as a volunteer for the Minister Sgro's election campaign. The CDN Ethics Commissioner will report his investigation during the week starting Nov. 29)

The question: Is the Canadian Minister of Citizenship & Immigration, Judy Sgro, a Saint or a Skank or other?

3. Tempest in a Teapot
Hi Maple,

Ignoring this huge Canadian governance ethics issue is an option I did not consider, not matter which party instigates.

Cheers!

5. Tempest in a teapot
gets my vote too. What do I care if they are exotic dancers, they're still people and chances are they will find life in Canada easier than in Eastern Europe.

6. The Point Is Corruption & Patronage
Edited on Sat Nov-27-04 11:11 PM by alank
Dear "justins",

The point of the matter is government corruption, cronyism and patronage.

No Government "By the people, for the people" is entitled to abuse its power, integrity or fairness to the people it represents. It must not shield itself by claiming "humanitarian" reasons to achieve personal political priorities. By doing so, we denigrate the priorities of others, and fairness to all.

Regardless of the so-called plight of East-Euro-Strippers, they should be prioritized fairly, along with legitimate refugees, doctors, lawyers, engineers, technicians, nurses, students and all others.

No one should be able to "jump the queue" because of political connections.

Fair is fair. Corruption is not fair, regardless of who does it.

Cheers!

9. My vote goes for a "tempest in a tea pot" as well...
or to quote Shakespeare "Much ado about nothing". If the faux conservatives think this is going anywhere with the Canadian public, they are sadly mistaken but, then again, they usually are.

10. You Don't Have To Be Conservative
...to be corrupt. Just ask ex-Minister of Supply & Services and ex-ambassador to Denmark Alfonso Gagliano.

The Canadian Liberals have proven that time & again. I only like good Liberals, not bad ones.

11. I prefer to wait for the ethics commissioner to rule...
rather than listen to the hysterics of the faux conservatives. They still won't be elected as governing party no matter how loud they are in question period.

12. Compassionate Judy Winning Poll!
Edited on Tue Nov-30-04 05:47 PM by alank
So far, it looks like Compassionate Judy, looking after the better sexual interests of deprived Canadian males has the preference of most voters, narrowly beating out Skant Judy.

I "rise" to applaud her.
