3. Bush most certainly is going to Ottawa as well as Halifax...
he just isn't going to brave speaking to our Parliament in case he hears the truth! Anyone who was planning to go to Ottawa, please do!

4. Yeah, I saw that in the paper this morning
Sorry, I thought the Halifax trip was a replacement to the Ottawa trip, not an addition.

5. anyone who wants to PM me where s/he will be
I've suggested in the Canada forum that any of us who will be at the protests might try to meet up with others in the same location. As listed here: http://www.acp-cpa.ca/en/NOBUSHCANADA.htm or anywhere else we know of.

My proposal was to pick a specific location (under the clock, at the street sign on the corner, whatever) and time (I suggested the exact starting time of the protest, since things never start on time) where people with bits of paper saying "DU" might watch for others.

It seems that many of DU's Canadians either are not in the right place (centres too small to be having organized protests ... although they're having one in Salmon Arm BC ...) or can't free up the time.

Me, I'll be on the streets, as I was through rain and slush and dark of night in the lead-up to the invasion of Iraq. Mother Jones will be too.

If anybody wants to PM me a good time/place to meet in the city where s/he will be protesting Bush's visit and policies, not to mention existence, I'll post a list in the Canada forum. That way no one would have to announce to the world at large where s/he will be, and I promise to keep names confidential unless someone wants to say.

Since we still don't get Fox News up here, I'll be grateful for any reports from our USAmerican friends about what they have to say about us!

I wonder whether the smoke-in on Parliament Hill
http://cannabisculture.com/articles/4068.html
might be just the distraction they'll be needing from the reality of the depth of the contempt in which a large majority of Canadians hold George W. Bush.
