Our President George Bush is a modern-day Moses. Follow him and he will give you freedom; follow him and he will keep you safe from all harm and danger.

Thank God our federal government is completely controlled by conservative Republicans. Can you imagine the outrageous spending we'd see from the Democrats if the Republicans weren't there to put a stop to it?

1. another one
Democrats don't know what they are talking about. The House majority leader did no wrong; he can do no wrong. He is one step from Bush. They are on a mission from God. It is time Democrats understand that.

Maybe I'm too non-cynical... but there is no fucking way any living human being can think like that.

11. These people have no connect with reality.
None at all. Nor do their preachers, etc. Bush is the biggest spender there has been with a 29% increase in federal spending. I guess it's the Rapture thing. They don't quite come out and say that's what it is but they invent other faulty reasoning.

"I don't bring God into my life to —
to, you know, kind of be a political
person."
— GWBush, interview with Tom Brokaw
aboard Air Force One, April 24, 2003

"I believe that God wants me to be
president." — Richard Land, a Director
of the conservative evangelical Southern
Baptist Convention, quoting GWBush on
"the day (GWBush) was inaugurated for his
second term as governor (of TX) in 1999."

"I could not be governor (of Texas) if I did not
believe in a divine plan that supersedes all human
plans." - GWBush, Governor of TX

"I, George W. Bush, Governor of Texas, do
hereby proclaim June 10, 2000, Jesus Day in
Texas and urge ... all Texans to answer the
call to serve those in need. By volunteering
their time, energy or resources to helping others,
adults and youngsters follow Christ's message
of love and service in thought and deed."
— GWBush, as Governor of TX, officially
proclaiming June 10, 2000, as
"JESUS DAY in TEXAS."

"And the religious people (GWBush) was connected
with in Texas aren't anything like the mainstream
— even the mainstream in Texas." — Molly Ivins,
political pundit, on GWBush as Governor of Texas.

"After all, religion has been around a lot longer
than Darwinism." — GWBush, reported in George
Magazine, September, 2000

12. The source of some of the quotes in this thread
includes comments like

Trying to justify the war in Iraq is like trying to get The Eagle to deliver the paper on time. It just isn't possible.

Hypocrisy runs deep in the Republican camp. Can you imagine if a Democrat was in deep doo-doo, as Tom DeLay is, and they changed a rule to protect their own? Oh, I'm sure Republicans wouldn't have a problem with that. Please.

Democrats don't know what they are talking about. The House majority leader did no wrong; he can do no wrong. He is one step from Bush. They are on a mission from God. It is time Democrats understand that."

So I honestly can't tell what this person is trying to say, or whether they're coming from one side or the other. Bizarre.

14. Moses was a liar and a war criminal who killed tens of thousands of
innocent people??? Wow. I never knew that.

And bush didn't do a very good job of keeping anyone safe on September 11, 2001...even with all the warnings he'd had.

And rushing our troops into a bullshit war without enough RIFLES AND AMMO AND BODY ARMOR and scopes & nightvision goggles and up-armored humvees and food and water and bloody fucking etcetera sure isn't keeping them safe either.

And making the entire world loathe us and despise us and hate our collective guts sure isn't the way to keep any of us safe.

Iraqmiring and breaking our military kinda leaves us all as sitting ducks...how is this keeping us safe???

The REALITY and FACTS show that following bush is leading to sudden painful death.
