The * loving talking head is now quoting again from the Washington (Mooney) Times stating categorically that the MSM is "leftist."

It hurts ... it hurts bad, but face it folks - until they (Republicans) fall on their face and the occupation of Iraq turns "super-ugly" well ... it's a Bush Co. Karl Rove world ... we progressives have all we can handle just to survive in it.

We have the fourth estate (MSM), the congress and soon, the lion's share of the supreme court against us. Until things turn really painful and ugly, America will continue it's radical spin to the foaming at the mouth, nut case right.

Tragic how Rove has turned all the words we treasure (liberal, progressive, democratic) into EVIL words that equate - to them and their propaganda mongers - Communism, Socialism, Evil-Doers.

We are in for a really tough ride. Personally, I pray every day that God give me (and other progressives) strength to endure this continued witch hunt and hard right turn toward a dictatorship and impending fascism.

Hang-on to your faith, whatever it may be dear fellow DUers. It's gonna get nasty and cold out there.

Sadly, I do fear that MY generation will be the sacrificial lamb. The boomers are the fly in the ointment... we have proven that we have turned wimpish, and will roll over when confronted with their gestapo-esque tactics, so it will continue, and when my generation is dead and gone, who knows what the country will look like.. The folks behind us are a mixed bag to be sure.

My generation was the last "white-bread" generation. The ones since ours are actually more liberal in their thinking, and less prejudicial. It could be the enlightenment period that we are all longing for.

...the boomers, it will be calculated, will cost just too much, to provide for in their sunset years. We'll apologize, but cutting you off will be necessary. The boomer generation is primarily responsible for people like Bush and Cheney being in power (having been in power), it will be reasoned, and you'll be encouraged to deal with the results. Logistically, I'm not sure how it would work. Elderly ghettos? Florida has its stateship rescinded and becomes a "territory"? Soylent Green?

He is ragging on and on about how we have a liberal media and the jerk is allowing him to do it. I believe that the caller was a set up because it was a lead in to a newspaper ad. I can't take it anymore I am getting ready to break from all of this. How can they get away with the Nazi BS that is going on right now.

Really - hunker down, read good news sources, support your local progressive or democratic organization, and for heaven's sake turn off the MSM. Why? We need to remain hearty and emotionally strong. The propaganda techniques used by intelligent (but what we know are less than honest and upstanding people) is sickening and, to many who are easily led, *alluring*. The masses are now sleeping and we must stay healthy and motivated to stir them when they begin to awaken from their propaganda deluged coma.
