Pulitzers for Vote Fraud and Bush expose stories
What better way to get the mainstream media to start covering news stories originating on the Internet than to nominate some Internet journalists for a Pulitzer Prize? Just imagine the reaction if Tom Paine or Greg Palast won the big bucks--and all that prestige. If Wayne Madsen's story ever pans out, he'd be high on the list. Local reporting qualifies, too, for any intrepid reporters who ferreted out electoral fraud at the grassroots level, for instance.

While we're at it, we could nominate some of our favorite book authors, too.

I've e-mailed the Pulitzer Committee to find out the requirements and deadlines. I heard once that anyone can nominate a Pulitzer, even the author, but I'm not certain if that's true. I did take a peek at the Putlizer Committee and saw that it includes someone from the Village Voice, so there's at least one token liberal on there.

Since the mainstream media won't cover the real news anymore, it seems only fitting that the online press should get some kudos!
