Can we discuss the DU policy for comments on the Democratic Party!
I previously posed a hypothetical question regarding what people thought about the formation of another party. Some DUers responded with the wrath I would have only expected at Free Republic. Today, someone criticized the party and received the same treatment.

During the primaries, we went at each other's throats pretty good. It got downright nasty, and I will admit in my passion of supporting my candidate, I participated to some degree. But once Kerry was nominated, we all pretty much got behind our candidate. I went as far as taking a full-time job with the campaign for the last two months. (Don't blame me for Florida, as we were able to turn out about 20% more Democratic voters in my 10 precincts than in 200)

Is it acceptable or appropriate to question or even criticize the Democratic Party here? Since this is DemocraticUnderground, perhaps it is not, and only the founders/moderators can guide us here. If this site were an official party site, I would certainly agree that criticism would be taboo and inappropriate.

But since this is a progressive/liberal site, isn't free speech at it's core? Hey Skinner, little help here please!

1. You talk about two completely different things in your message.
#1: I previously posed a hypothetical question regarding what people thought about the formation of another party.

#2: Is it acceptable or appropriate to question or even criticize the Democratic Party here?
