Washington: According to high level White House sources, President For Only Hopefully The Time Being George Bush has tapped God to replace Tom Ridge as Homeland Security chief.
"Why not", Bush said, continuing that "since he talks to me all the time I may as well have him just down the hall. Besides, what better person to smite the unbelievers?"
God was coy about His plans, but did say that the job is "intriguing." He also said that should He accept the position, the archaic color-coded Security Level ladder would be replaced by a large combination holy balm and halo, which would be raised or lowered around His head as circumstances dictate.
