Poll question: What Color Democrat do you prefer for 2008?
Edited on Thu Dec-09-04 04:23 PM by FrenchieCat
There are many types of Democrats, coded by color just like our terror code..... it appears.

Which type would like to see get the nomination in 2008?

2. This isn't a trick question you know.
My favorite for 2008....Wes Clark (Kent?)

Won't take any Sh*t, AND...

7. I disagree on your classification system...
Clarke was moderate. Remember all those "he's a republican" folks? That plagued us. His big plus was electability. His electability came from him moderate stand. He talked about attracting moderate Republicans all the time. Blue Dog!

9. I decided to create a new
classification just for Wes Clark, i.e., Red Dog.

That is because the Blue Dog Democrat many times agree with the Republicans and sometimes can be seen as weak. I consider Wes strong and still able to diplomatically get consensus....which is different from compromise (although guess he would do that if it wasn't compromising an important principle).

OK?

13. Fair enough,
as long as we all define our terms. I may be the only one out there calling him blue.

WES CLARK - Blue or Red? People?

4. Lone hold out for coalition building...
I think that was one of Wes's biggest strengths, his moderate stand. It would have run very well against Bush, who got all of the "I don't like Bush. But, I'll never vote for a liberal" crowd.

Personally I'm a left of left, kick ass, take no prisoners type. I just don't think it was the way to go this last time around. We needed all Dems and some of the Republicans this time around. We got some of the Dems.

Wes, Wes, Wes, Wes, Wes, Wes! I'm so sorry those other Dems let you down! Don't blame me. I voted for Clark!

8. As an African-American...
I do tend to agree, that we tell it like it is....but this is a poll
dealing with attitude/policies....as you can tell. :)

10. Yeah, I know I was just kidding.
That line is from "Passenger 57" with Wesley Snipes when he was talking on the phone with a terrorist.

12. LOL....
I would classify Wesley Snipes (hey...same name!) as a Red Dog.

I know he would take no sh*t, certainly.....and not just in the movies.
