Hate FOX News? Get a FOXBlocker for $ 8.95
FOXBlocker is an innovative new product that filters out the FOX News network. Simply screw the filter into the back of your TV and never be exposed to right wing propaganda again (at least through FOX News). Using a proprietary technology, the FOXBlocker works to filter out FOX News from your cable lineup.

Protect yourself and your family, or send one to a misguided right wing friend.

Priced at JUST $8.95, the FOXBlocker is a wonderful way of telling the advertisers at FOX News that you are no longer interested in being exposed to right wing propaganda.

With every order placed, FOXBlocker.com will send an e-mail in your name to the TOP 10 advertisers at FOX News letting them know that yet another subscriber has opted out of FOX News. With a little luck and a lot of volume, we can shut the FOX up!

28. Yep
That is the only way to do it. Write your cable company, cancel your cable or at the very least do not watch it.

Then watch all the people walk out of their homes rubbing their eyes, waking up with FOX-hangovers.

device that does what a remote control and a little human effort can do for free? I mean, if I don't want to watch Fox, I just don't watch it. I've gone a month now without watching Hannity and Colmes, and the rest of those shows. If you have DirecTV (which ironically is owned by Newscorp), you can block the channel with your remote.

7. By buying this, we can let the advertisers know they are losing viewers
They lose a lot of viewers, they start losing advertisers, the beginning of the end for any media outlet

8. Nice concept, Advertisers will definitely listen because...
Those people who shell out 9 bucks to do something that they could easily do for free is exactly the kind of idiotic consumer that most companies are looking to target.

If America actually has enough idiotic progressives and liberals (I think it's probably safe to assume that repukes and the politically apathetic will not buy these in significant numbers) to actually affect advertising revenue then our party is really in trouble.

9. It is worth 9 bucks to me, to tell FOX advertisers, the moral majority
Edited on Fri Dec-10-04 04:11 AM by 4democracy
is all smoke and mirrors and I am not interested. It is a statement, just like all the dollars I spent driving 500 miles to Columbus Ohio. Just to spend a very cold afternoon supporting the right to vote. The money is not the issue.
Fox is about to become the main news source for Clear Channel Radio. For millions of Americans, this will be the only news they get on an average day. People that do not understand how partisan Fox is will believe everything they hear to be the truth.
I think we should try to do anything we can to shut them down, even at the outrageous price of 9 bucks.

BTW, if the advertisers were to receive, say 56 MILLION e-mails opting out of FOX News (just from the Kerry voters), it WOULD get their attention.

24. So you want to see FOX get 56 million emails?
Why not send them directly to FOX, or directly to the advertisers. That way, everyone can explain exactly why the don't like FOX and why advertisers shouldn't buy ad time there. BTW, I'm not sure exactly how many people ONLY get there news from Clear Channel Radio, though I will concede for the sake of argument that it could be in the millions. Isn't Clear Channel full of RW Propaganda already? Is that our problem, it's not the biased new, but which company is producing it? As I see it, Clear Channel has just decided that rather than have to produce there own biased new, they'll just let FOX do it for them, it all comes out the same anyway.

I agree, money isn't the issue. Spend your money however you like. Just don't be disappointed if the only change you've made is that you now have 9 dollars less.

sheesh, just delete Faux from your "Favorite Channels" on your remote then email Faux's sponsors yourself. Talk about killing a fly with a sledgehammer.

On the other hand, I can see changing this to a PBS-block and selling a ton of them to dumb freepers. heh heh

Hey, fox and friends are starting to roll out the Dean Scream again. Played twice this early AM. lol. Geezz, they are so nervous he will get DNC post. What an interesting chess game.

I pick Media as the first breakup, in particular the music biz.

20. My Email to Faux News.
Just thought I'd write to let ya know, I've locked your channel out of my sat TV.

I cannot bear to watch your channel anymore, Fox used to be my favorite, but that was back when I mistakenly thought you were not biased and your reporting was fair.

Since I have become aware of your leanings towards politics I cannot in good conscious watch your channel anymore, thanks, its been nice.

Should you choose to live up to your slogan, Fair and Balanced, Please feel free to email me and let me know.

Partisan Politics have no place in today's News broadcasts, we are all American.

Sincerely,
A Pissed off American (not my original signature line.)

And yes I have DirecTV, I have been a customer since the beginning, my account number is in the 5 digit range and I have Direct w/TiVo receivers I really love em and do not want to change. I have however reduced my programming to the min.

So my only option is simply to lock them out and let em know.

29. We cancelled our dish service completely
and then I emailed CNN, Faux, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, and the like, ALONG with their major advertisers to let them know exactly why we cancelled it.

And we let Dish TV know why, too.

I've talked four other friends who were thinking about cancelling their cable or dish into doing it, too. They were just as disgusted and when I told them we did it, they did it too.
