MY ANGRY LETTER TO TERRY MCAULIFFE
Terry McAuliffe had the gall to send me a letter about how the DNC is helping the recount in Ohio. My response (I apologize if it is too long: I was really   )

Sorry, Terry, you get no more dollars from me. I'll give my dollars in the future directly to the candidates I chose to support, or to organizations like Emily"s List, that I can trust. As for funding the recounts, I've sent my money to David Cobb and to HelpAmericaRecount. These are the people who have had the courage to speak out, and to do something, while the DNC has sat cowering on its collective hands. John Kerry lost time for the recount in Ohio because the judge threw out the request for expediting it: "no irreparable harm". He's only "joined" the effort: what if Ohio drags out the recount, too?

I've been working on the election fraud since November 3rd: You're a tad late, to say the least. You didn't immediately offer money to help the Washington state recount, or in Louisiana, or in Ohio. You didn't help them find volunteers. WE did it, until finally you woke up and decided you'd better CLAIM you were helping all along? What a crock! The train done gone, and you are still sitting at the station.

You haven't mobilized people to go to earlier fraud protests, much less help organize them, and I doubt you have done anything about the protests this weekend, including the one at Lafayette Park on 12/12/04 at noon. WE'VE done that. Perhaps you might, just might, try to get Democrats to that protest and others around the country this weekend? After all, you have all those databases that WE paid for. Perhaps you might even attend one yourself? Give me one, just one, reason why I should give you any more of my money?

Where have you been on getting word into the national media about the fraudulent election? You surely have some resources to do effective PR work? Why this collective silence? Do you think the Republicans would be silent were the situation reversed? In fact, they've already started their campaign to claim Democrats tried to steal the election. WHERE ARE YOU GUYS? The FBI is investing East St. Louis Democrats, not Ken Blackwell or Jeb Bush. The Republicans, let by Feeney, are claiming 50, yes 50, dirty tricks before the election against them, while there are thousands of documented dirty tricks by them. They are scouring registrations looking for double voters, while there are thousands of people who couldn't vote due to registration dirty tricks. Haven't you learned ANYTHING about controlling the message? Why isn't every Democratic official pointing to the problems every chance they get? Or are you just planning to let Rep. Conyers and the others hang out there by themselves? Is that what the Republicans would do?

While I'm at it, the election for a new DNC chairman is coming up: I can see only one viable candidate, Howard Dean. He's outside the incestuous DC network, and most importantly, HAS GUTS, STAYS TRUE TO HIS IDEALS, AND IS ABLE TO ENERGIZE DEMOCRATS AND OTHERS. I would suggest that those are the three most important requirements in a DNC chair. Believe me, if you chose on the basis of those criteria, you'll be rolling in money and people will flock to the Democratic Party.

I can understand why there might have been some strategic reason for John Kerry, and other Democratic "leaders", to remain silent while the evidence for fraud mounted, but that time is past. If you don't seize this issue NOW, the Democratic Party is dead, and so is our Democracy. Daily, John Kerry loses supporters for a run in 2008. But, 2008 won't matter, nor will 2006: you won't have the votes. I quote from Joseph Stalin:

"It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything".

Now, a question: how are you going to look your grandchildren in the face and admit, " I HELPED KILL DEMOCRACY IN YOUR COUNTRY AND TO DESTROY YOUR FREEDOMS BECAUSE I FAILED TO SPEAK OUT AND TO ACT IN 2004"?

6. Hear! Hear!
If Howard Dean is NOT elected DNC Chair, then I for one will never waste another ounce of energy on the Democratic Party. Howard Dean was not the Democratic candidate this year because the DNC backed John Kerry. I believe that John Kerry DID win the election, but by such a narrow margin that the Republicans were easily able to steal it without it being detected. The fact that it WAS such a narrow margin when you consider that Kerry was running against the WORST President ever, is a disgrace. The pre-election polls were close, and that should have never been. If John Kerry was the BEST the Democrats could come up with to defeat Bush, then the Democrats are history. I’ve had enough of the DNC’c ’infinite’ wisdom. Let Howard Dean run as an Independent in 2008 and clean the clock of whoever the Republican OR Democratic candidate is!

8. GREAT letter...I sent one the
other day saying that as long as the dems kept moving to the right to become republican lite that I would be working with & giving my money to progressive groups that actually believe in the historic roots of what used to be the democratic party.

13. If enough of us follow your example...
they will have no choice but to read ALL of them. As you pointed out so well, they are johnny-come-latelys to the table that we built and set and now they want to eat the best part of the meal.

I checked my email a short time ago, and I just received my copy. I am taking the time to think out a well-worded reply such as your letter had. Also,I am forwarding their letter to my mailing list and asking everyone to send in a similar response. I hope that you will do the same and include your letter.

18. I nominated this one!
Anyone who thinks it will do any good, email Al Franken too. We finally have a radio station and they're too scared to report news.

I wrote him, thanked him for the fascism he didn't try to prevent. Told him 2006 and 2008 are much too late to save this country. Many of us really believed "This election is THE election of our lifetime." Silly us.
