David Obey may run for president?
A friend of mine who has a connection with the congressman says that longtime Wisconsin Rep. David Obey is considering mounting a run for the Democratic nomination in 2008. Despite representing a largely rural area since 1969 and being an outspoken liberal, Obey has had few problems being re-elected. If he did run, would you consider him?

1. No. Have him run for Senate instead.
Replace Kohl and run for experience. Maybe a governor of Wisconsin to show that he has the experience. Governors are often elected to President.

3. I don't think so
I think Dave likes the seniority in the House and would LOVE to be Speaker of the House or House Majority Leader.

I've known Dave since '75 and totally respect him.

5. I'd consider voting for an ouspoken liberal
who manages to dump his DLC handlers and run a campaign as a real liberal, not a neutered clone of the pubbie candidate.

Otherwise, forget it. The DLC pretty much allowed the voting fraud to happen unchallenged. Those old maids in pants have lost me. As long as they stay in power, they can count me out.
