Did any of you who still watch the Network Nightly News see anything about
"All over America State Legislators Certified President Bush's Win?"

Just put aside for this what went on in Ohio and Washington State...did ABC,NBC,CBS even mention that today was the American Celebration of "Certification of the Electors" for Bush?

I have to admit...being TV free except for C-Span, THIS DU'er checked out Rather/CBS...and didn't hear one word about "Electors being Certified. I heard Saddam/Peterson/School Abstinence and other subjects about Prescription Drugs, etc...but unless I didn't hit my "Mute Button" fast enough after the 10 minutes of commmercials I might have missed the one minute on "Electors Certifying." I wasn't hoping for a story on Kerry jumping in or the Conyers Hearings On the Road...I just wanted to hear that our "American States Certified the Electors."

And...it was silent...did any of you who peeked at the other Networks or Cable News hear anything different?

If not...the SILENCE goes beyond Media Whores. Either "Something is Up" or we are truly in a Fascist Meltdown. :eyes:

1. Never watch... too painful.

I don't watch any news on the teevee except my 5am Democracy NOW! blast on Public Access.

Otherwise, I read my news on the Internet (or should I say Internets?).

6. That's too bad...We were going to give ourselves "Dish TV" for Xmas &
were looking forward to handing our cable box back to "Time-Warner" with a written statement that they were not providing News or Entertainment Content that was worth watching...

You say you're giving up your Sattelite? I thought there was access to a couple of Liberal Channels there, plus BBC and International News?

8. Koko! Cool! Yes, great networks on Dish Network
9415 Free Speech TV
9410 LINK TV

Both have "Democracy Now" the news program with all that news the media cabal won't report.

Oddly, somebody mentioned Link on the old Kerry Forum, otherwise I would never have known about either channel. They are not listed on your Dish Network Channel Lineup and they're SOOO far up the dial, I bet a lot of people miss seeing them.

Both channels are totally independent. Have many shows on environmental issues, Iraq, Gay/Lesbian issues. James Zogby even has his own show on Free Speech, I think.

If it weren't for these two channels, I think I'd give up tv altogether, though I do like HBO, too.

9. Wow...I replied to the poster who was giving their Dish up but just to
have even ONE channel that actually had progressive or even "fair" reporting would be great. I haven't seen any of the shows you mention in the schedules of either of the Sattelite companies and that was my confusion. I knew some DU'ers were getting some liberal shows, but not seeing them listed was confusing.

I think we will do it. Thanks for the "heads up."

5. Went back and forth
between CBS and ABC. Didn't see anything about Ohio. Chuckled at the continuing coverage of the Kerik mess. Oh, and the jury made a decision in some lawsuit today.

10. American States Certified the Electors
Only C-SPAN presented information specifically about the
certification
Scarborough has a few minutes report on what is going on in
Ohio. My best sources for what is occurring are BuzzFlash.com
and blogdemocrats.com. The LATimes finally had a marvelous
article on Ohio which really pleased me.

14. That was my "Network" moment.
When the Whore Nets began to gush about election fraud in Ukraine while they were (are) totally ignoring it in the US, I went to the window, stuck my head outside and yelled:

"I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to watch anymore!"

The American "news" media is a lost cause. We will have no effect on it for at least the next four years. Our energy will be better spent planting a food garden and brushing up on marksmanship.

16. spent the half hour of network news flipping channels. I always
start with NBC, because they seem less cautious in reporting Bush bullshit. Sure enough, NBC opened with the Kerek story, while ABC and CBS were celebrating Saddam's capture anniversary as the top story.
But nope, I did not here ONE SINGLE WORD. I did flip whenever Scott Peterson or Sadam stories hit the airwaves.
