NPR Takes Ohio Election Fraud Story MSM!!!
Edited on Tue Dec-14-04 02:10 PM by jamboi
A chink in the armor of the appearent MSM blockade on this issue. NPR's Tavis Smiley is on it! This is decent coverage from his NPR reporter Janet Babin in Cleveland. This could be the start of MSM warming to the story. Blast this all over the web!

Ongoing Debate over Ohio Voting Irregularities

Listen to this story...

"The Tavis Smiley Show, December 13, 2004 · Janet Babin of member station WCPN in Cleveland, Ohio, reports on the ongoing debate over the November 2 election results. Third-party candidates have requested a recount, and voting rights advocates charge that there were so many irregularities and civil rights abuses that the results should be overturned."

Write here to thank Tavis tavis@npr.org

He's about to leave NPR, so this was perhaps a parting shot.

"Tavis Smiley has informed NPR that he will not renew his contract and that his last day on The Tavis Smiley Show will be Dec. 16, 2004. Smiley is a remarkable talent who holds an important place in public radio history. NPR wishes him well. The show's regular Friday host, Tony Cox, will fill in for Smiley. NPR will launch an aggressive national search for a new host who can build upon the success of the show."

2. Tavis needs to go out swinging!
His contract with the National Petroleum Radio network is up pretty soon. I wish he could get on the AAR train.

3. Unfortunately
Tavis Smiley is leaving NPR...cause they don't treat him very well. This will probably be the nail in his coffin. But Yeah Tavis!!

4. Thanks for posting this
It was pretty comprehensive. Could have done without that remark "the chances of overturning the election are equivalent to the sun not coming up tomorrow". I'm sure that's not the exact quotation; it was from a professor, I believe, certainly not Tavis. An addendum should have followed that remark, like "certainly not in a Republican held state." It's amazing what Katherine Blackwell has done, is it not?

5. With all do respect
NPR isn't considered MSM, not in my book anyway. When we see corporate news outlets like USA Today, NBC and CNN ( all repuke whoring enablers ) then I can say it's gone mainstream. If it does finally make it to these outlets rest assured we are well on our way to winning back everything that was stolen from us.

6. Its in the ballpark and other MSM treat them w/ respect even if sort of
"smaller brother". Who moderated the debates? So this helps to raise it up and make it "Okay" for other MSM to carry it. Its a start.
