Chimp ends press conference by wishing "Happy Holidays." TWICE.
So, will the fundies be all over his back for not going with "Jesus is the reason for the season?"

Somehow, I doubt it. More hypocrisy. :grr:

Listen, thank you all very much. I wish everybody -- truly wish everybody a happy holidays. For those of you coming to Crawford, I look forward to not seeing you down there. (Laughter.)

(Chuckles.) Thank you all.

Q (Off mike.)

PRESIDENT BUSH: Huh?

Q Are you going to the Rose Bowl?

PRESIDENT BUSH: No, I won't be going to the Rose Bowl. I'll be watching the Rose Bowl.

And by the way, in case you're not following high school football in Texas --

Q (Laughs.)

PRESIDENT BUSH: -- you're -- atta boy, Jackson -- the Crawford Pirates are the state 2-A, Division 2, champs. And we look forward, don't we, to wave the championship banner above the Crawford High School.

All right. Happy holidays.

3. Again, Bush grammar: "truly wish everybody a happy holidays"
a = singular
holidays = plural

Bush wishes everyone "a happy holidays". What is his native language?

4. This is Bush's "Sistah Souljah" moment
Watch Rove Inc. play it up as if Bush was standing up to all those well funded zealots in favor of those weak Arabs, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists...
You'll soon see the post on FreakRepublicans.com, "What a hero he is, for standing up for all those underdogs! I grow more proud of that great man with every passing moment" - SWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON

7. Although he tries to hide it --
Bush has been exposed to a world beyond the "heartland," and knows that at this season one might be speaking to people of faiths other than Christianity when one expresses greetings. This whole controversy stems from ignorance, and an attempt to further the demonization of Democrats and "liberals."

8. Kinison and the Heartland
Every time I hear the word "Heartland" I remember an old Sam Kinison joke:

You know why they call it the heartland? 'Cause the brain's not there!

Love it, and love the hypocrisy of the Pharisees.
