HELP SAVE LIVES - IT ONLY TAKES A MINUTE
Al Neuharth, founder of USA Today, wrote an editorial in his psper today supporting the pullout of our troops from Iraq. He's about as big in the MSM as one can get and the report stated he was getting mostly negative feedback. Drop the Kerry stuff for a minute to email a letter to the editor at the 'contact us' section of his paper. Don't let the freepin neocon bastards slam this. 60,000 DUers = 45,000 + who support pullout = 1 out of 100 letters = 450+ supporting comments. Help support saving the lives of not only our troops but innocent Iraqi civilians. DAMN IT DO IT

5. Done. I kept it very short, just two sentences.
But my support for bringing the troops home now is clear.

6. Tips for letter writers
Edited on Thu Dec-23-04 10:39 PM by katinmn
Dear USA TODAY Reader:

On behalf of the Editorial Board of USA TODAY, thank you for the letter to the editor you submitted.

Your opinion is important to us. If your letter is one of those selected for publication, congratulations. The competition for space is keen.

Regretfully, although we would like to publish all of the 800 to 1,000 letters we receive weekly, we are unable to do so. If no one from USA TODAY has called you within two weeks, it is probable that your letter has not been selected. Don't give up; try again.

Those letters that are published are selected for their timeliness,
clarity, accuracy and length, as well as for the insight and perspective they provide. Letters of 250 words or fewer are the most likely to be published.

Our goal is to put together a daily package of diverse opinions
reflecting views from people representing all walks of life, different areas of the country and overseas.

Again, thank you for your interest in USA TODAY. We look forward to
hearing from you again.

Sincerely,

Brian Gallagher
Editor of the Editorial Page

7. i just e-mailed this to the editor:
"I am in complete agreement with Al Neuharth. There is not one possible good outcome to our continued stay in Iraq. Death will continue, on both sides and to the innocents. Why continue with the loss of life? We are not wanted there. How many more will die before we come to our senses? This war was a terrible error in judgment from the start. May not one more life be lost due to our inability to admit a mistake."
