George W. Bush apparently is wearing a medical device for "persons at risk of cardiac arrest." It is a LifeVest wearable defibrillator. He started using it sometime after his January 2002 fainting spell, which was attributed to choking. Based on photos showing him wearing the device, one can conclude the fainting was due to atrial fibrillation (AF), which his father also had. His father's AF was caused by Graves' hyperthyroidism, which his mother also has. Bush likely has AF and less likely Graves', based on his family history and symptoms. The AF may have caused a stroke or TIA (mini-stroke), of which physicians watching the debates detected symptoms. Observers have noted psychological symptoms consistent with this and with Wernicke-Korsakoff disease.

"The President remains in superb physical condition," said Adam M. Robinson, Jr., commander of the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, after the president's fourth annual physical at the center on December 11.

"The doctors said that Mr. Bush had a 'low' to 'very low' risk of coronary artery disease, although they found evidence of minimal calcification of the coronary arteries themselves. As a preventative, they recommended that Mr. Bush take a daily aspirin and a statin, or cholesterol-lowering drug," reported the New York Times.

In contrast, the photos below show Mr. Bush at a presidential debate, with parts of a LifeVest wearable defibrillator clearly visible underneath his suit jacket.

much much more!

2. One of the stipulations from the Bush cabal was that he not be filmed ....
from the back, during the debate, and I can certainly see why. There's another photo of Junior Bush with the same bulges in a t-shirt.

3. Bush exercises a lot..
.. but I've always had a hard time imagining him falling from extreme mountain biking everytime he got bruises on his face.

I guess frequent fainting spells just don't cut it when you want to be the self proclaimed Hand of God.

I'm constantly amazed how such a BIG message board can still feel warm and cozy. Thank god I just learned how to use "My posts" which is a big help, or else I can never ever find back the threads I posted in.

7. It's not a portable defib/pacer, sorry
I'm at the disadvantage of working in a coronary care unit for a long time. I can tell you that an external pacemaker is very painful, and that it is used only long enough to get the patient to surgery for an implanted device. The same is true of an external defibrillator, only it's even more painful. Had Idiot needed such a device, he'd have been hustled into surgery in the middle of the night to have one implanted. There would be no reason to leave one attached for weeks or months.

The device is more likely a descrambler and transmitter for the tiny device in his ear canal.

He has been shown with this device not only during the debates, but also under his T-shirt in a folksy photo op on his stage set ranch. The device showed very clearly under the T-shirt, and was a completely different size and shape from the defib/pacer pack shown in your pictures.

9. and besides ...
the use of an external pacemaker would presume that the man actually has a heart.

25. This is true... good point!!
But it has been evident that something is definitely wrong for some time.

Dennis Hastert... is he as bad as the rest of these thugs??? Guess he'd have to be if he's Speaker of the House...

11. bush can't have surgery for a defib. how would they explain it?
they couldn't risk sending him in for surgery. those lumps look much more like the pictured defib than any receiver set i've ever seen, and honestly, i work in electronics and i know he wouldn't need anything near that large to communicate with someone even at a great distance. with a remote earpiece, all he'd need is a sort of neckace wired to a belt pack or pocket pack that would handle the rest. that lump under his t-shirt is the size of montana!

12. It could be a discipline device
Maybe Carl Rove shocks him every time he says something wrong?

Or, it could be one of these:

13. uh, that would be his Man Date, Dummy....

don't get them confused :D

As for the defib device, I think someone posted the technical specs and usual mounting for an cardiac pacemaker for epileptics- one that turns on when there's a major seizure. That was for the shoulderblade box shown during debate 1 or 2, in October.

15. It's only a colostomy bag
Oh, you say the bag should be placed below his butt? Well, despite being an asshole, his rectum isn't the problem. All the excessive stool is in his head. Constipation of the mind and diarrhea of the mouth.

Crap, I'm in a shitty mood. :)

Edited on Mon Dec-27-04 02:36 PM by ailsagirl
we're ALL as gullible as a good portion of the country apparently is.

But I am surprised that nothing has leaked out-- you know, from "unnamed sources"

I guess they "fixed" all the leaks when they recently dumped a bunch of CIA people...(and anyone else not "loyal" to *)

22. Didn't they say he was in "superior shape" or some such thing?
They would, of course.

And, yes, I would assume that it IS our business to know what kind of health he's in but, historically, I think that hasn't always been the case. (I find it hard to include * with presidents whom I consider to have been legally elected...)

It doesn't really matter because we all know who's in line to take over should *'s health problems totally incapacitate him...
