Dems "will simply nitpick & criticize on an adhoc basis-carping/themeless?
"the Democratic Party (such as it is) will simply nitpick and criticize on an ad hoc basis, bringing the same carping, themeless-pudding approach to disaster relief that it brought to most everything in 2004."

The above is from today's ABC News "NOTE" on their website

1. Oh. That is great.
They show their bias a little more everyday.

2. Evidence otherwise?
Democrats need to enunciate some principles and explain how their positions derive from them. Otherwise it all seems arbitrary and ad-hoc, and often tastes like special-interest goulash.

3. I really, really want a 4 year Dem theme with slogans- and I want it now
nuanced just does not sell unless it is packaged in a theme.

4. Yeah, they need a CAMPAIGN, starting now!
I'm disgusted, though, by the crap over the last few days.

6. or at least remind the driviling horde that...

all of our value judgements derive from principles. So if we say you are acting out of line, perhaps its out of line with our principles. When that line happens to belong to the ethics commitee, then logically we want principled ethics. It's not us who needs to display our principles it is them. Otherwise we're on the defense. We should be demanding them to live up to the principles they espouse.

7. I think we have to do more than that
Fact is, people think they know what republican principles are and don't know what democratic principles are. Once they've been refreshed on that, we're on much better ground to criticize their principles.

all the time with it's gossipy nuances against Democrats. I guess they are still at it...sigh.

8. "The Note" doesn't like the dems' "carping?"
they should look at their own carping, it's pretty much all they do.
