Another plus for Dean--he would be an EXCELLENT
Edited on Tue Jan-11-05 03:28 PM by John_H
fundraiser, helping our party to continue to tap into the corporate and special interest money. As DGA chair, for example, Dean broke records, bringing in money from the NRA, Pfizer, Wal-Mart, Microsoft, and a host of others.

1. hmm,
is that supposed to turn off the supporters? All I know is he has done more than anybody else to influence first time small doners and aggressively has taken on Bush.

13. Dean is my second choice. I could easily jump on the Dean bandwagon
if the prosepcts of a couple others seem to take off. But I like dean for the opposite reasons the majority of DU Deaniacs like dean.
I like him because he is an insider, because he is a pragmatic moderate progressive, because he can raise a ton of cash, and not least because he seems to be able to get many people to believe he's a to-the-left, outsider hell bent on transforming the system.

His position would have been mush stronger, though, if the Dean Generation would have put the keg on ice long enough to cast the deciding votes for Kerry, don't you think?

4. I'm ready for some of this
It's kinda been boring around here since the primaries.

BTW - I saw Howard Dean eat a baby last week. Pass it on.

7. No.
And I won't support a DNC chair that doesn't cook their babies before eating them.

That is downright unamerican!

10. LOL! Geez, I was just trying to help.
You think Dean would, what, not raise corporate money? I'm not the only thing you're ignoring.

3. Dean must have bought shares in dog food companies
Before he changed his tune when he entered the primaries, he thought it wold be a great idea to raise the SS retirement age to 70.

That would no doubt cause a great demand for dog food, and would force up dog food prices and hike profits for dog food manufacturers.
Read about it here:

5. I agree about being an excellent fundraiser
His was the first campaign I ever contributed to. And because he told all of his supporters to stay involved, I did and gave money to the DNC despite my bitter hatred of Terry McAuliffe.

If they pick someone who is going to give us more of the same, then they can forget about ever getting another penny from me and they will get back my little membership card in pieces.
