FOIA requests take how long to get answered?

I'm wondering, with the Armstrong Williams flap, how long the FOIA requests for ALL pundits on the Government payroll will take to see the light of day?

I'm thinking that it will be a full-blown scandal...but I'd like to know when to expect it.

1. Two years after the snowfall in Hell.
The Bush administration isn't going to release any FOIA info while he is in office.

2. They have to (by law) respond within a certain amount of time.
I think it's like 20 days.

Of course, they can DENY your request and then you have to APPEAL, or they can send you worthless crap and make you apply and/or appeal.

3. 20 working days
How long will it take to answer my request?
We are required to send you an answer within 20 working days of receiving your request. Our response might include all the materials you requested, a portion of your request with a listing of reasons why we withheld information, or a denial of all information. If denied, we will inform you of your appeal rights. If there is a delay in fulfilling your request within the 20-day time frame, we will notify you in writing about the delay.

4. I only have one experience
After the requisite 20 days I received an email saying the request would require extensive review and perhaps redaction. Did I still want it? Did I want it expedited? I didn't require it immediately so I asked for it when they could get it. It took about 6 months to get a 30 year old 100 page transcript of an interview of long dead people. There were no redactions.

6. If all FOIA's have a national security exemption, then all get tossed
or delayed by our national insecurity state apparatus. Bush wants it this way in order to protect Poppy from his hand in the JFK files...etc.
