For those who have read the book "Queen Bees and Wannabees," you will easily identify Matthews as a classic Wannabee. He wants to be in what ever clique is "in" at the moment. He doesn't know who he is.

About twenty minutes ago he questioned all the splendor of the coronation -- said how level of pomp and fanciness is indicative of administrations.

About an hour or so ago, all of a sudden he started talking about how the Crusades were "well-intentioned" but led to wholesale slaughter of innocent people -- compared it to what we're today in Iraq. The RW guy they had on at the time (think it was Tony Blankley?) nearly swallowed his tongue trying to reply.

And they let Ron Reagan, Jr. talk at length earlier today -- Ron said US has killed more innocent children in Iraq than the number of Americans killed on 9/11. (I wish I could remember all that Ron Jr. said -- it was great stuff.)

Then the 100 greatest Discoveries on the Discovery Channel....

Watched CNBC for a while to watch the market tick lower and lower as the "Day of Democracy" unfolded.....

surprised by the commentators on CNBC who said the speech was pedestrian, really shallow and lacked substance.....

Then, Heard Jeff Greenfield talk on and on about the soring rhetoric and the idealism.....

That's when I knew I made the right choice about avoiding the festivities as much as possible......

because that was the last time i watched Chris Matthews, it was right after he said something like...."Oh boy he sure does look great in that flightsuit, the ladies must find him really masculine and attractive" I literally thought i was going to puke right after the thought of bush's flightsuit=Dukakis's tank.

That used to always get him worked up into a sputtering heap of mush.

He said, in a serious moment, that if you were not caught up in the charm and the pomp of today, and you just read Bush's speech, it was a terrifying speech. It spoke of us forcing our views on countries all over the world.

We are not going to let this happen, right??????????????????????????
