Up to that time, a lot of time and prestige had been invested in convincing people that only the wisest, most perceptive people could see the Emperor's clothes. We're shouting about Stupidhead's nakedness, but there are so many powerful interests so heavily invested in ignoring it, that we get no traction.

Would that it truly took just one person to point out Stupidhead's shortcomings, but there's too much working against reality.

talking about the Iraq "election", he said it is very important that every vote be treated equally.

Talking about equality in this country, why doesn't he invite gay leaders to the white house for a staged photo op and tell them that their eligibility for Social Security isn't being challenged.

He flat out ignored the question about Speedy Gonzales, as well.

I enjoyed when he was visibly angry, with steam coming out of hois ears from trying to think, and not using some memorized campaign speech.

Equality?

No one is joinging the military, recruitment is way down,
but he won't let gays join the military because he's all
for equality, and a think military, I guess.

Gays serve in the British forces, the French Army, and on and on...

55. The media is responsible for where we are. They find it necessary to
explain for Bush the issues he, himself can't explain. It's like the media has become the real third branch of government, taking over for a spineless legislature. 40 years ago, as incoherent and absurd as this Bush e was today, the media would have been all over this press conference, calling it like it actually is. It's a sad state of affairs that America no longer has a viable media or a viable Legislature and brain-dead citizenry.
