...Democrats lining up to vote for Rice, by name and state.

This would be a very interesting list, as I understand those voting against her are the definite minority in our party.

I am old enough to remember when our party actually stood for something, instead of just piggybacking speeches about issues that polls show Americans dislike -- like the Iraq war -- onto other events like confirmations.

Little has been said directly about why Rice herself is unqualified. Yet there is plenty of evidence of why that is true.
