I am a selfish denizen of Democratic Underground who likes to preach about human rights, but when the chips are on the table, I really don't give a flying fig. We think the fact that the mullahs are cooking up nukes is just sublime. We couldn't care less about throwing Iranians and international security under the bus, as long as it makes Bush look bad. Please explain how the he** diplomacy will work? Does anyone here really believe the mullahs will roll over and relinquish their iron grip on the Iranian people? Oh yes. Just talk nicey-nice to them, give them milk and cookies and they will magically turn into warm cuddlebunnies.

These people don't realize that the two nations most represented in the signatures are the US and Iran - that's got to be a good sign right? There are also signatories from probably 100 other countries. It's not just about the US, or about Iran - but these people don't seem to grasp that there can be anything that is not about the U.S.

There haven't been alot of signatures like this, and all of them have come from the US. I wonder if the people submitting them realize that they are only reafirming the view, around the world, that American republicans are ignorant, intollerant, hateful war mongers?
