2. Our media are complicit in these war crimes
and should be judged accordingly. I have a very cynical and pessimistic view of my country's ability to empathize with anyone or anything that doesn't directly affect them.

But, even I still have to believe that my fellow citizens, if given the opportunity to see these photos, this war, as it is really being waged, would demand an end to this.

3. Freedom to the world!
But freedom for what? The stock market, the oil fields, some Arabian princess ...

This people on the pictures will always remember that they were liberated.

4. I am not a fan of the war
but let me say this guy needs to brush up on his photoshop skills

This is the a horrible photoshop job. Most 12 year olds could do a better job. Crap like this just hurts the cause of the left. I would not share this site with too many people.

6. Some looked legit
I would say about 25% looked bad to me. I am not saying all are bad but some just are a bit too fishy. Like I said the site does not do much for me but it does accuratly describe the mistake the USA has caused in Iraq.

7. Give us examples. Which ones don't look legit to you?
I don't see a single bit of evidence of photoshopping in any of them.

photoshopping on these photos.
Oh, and please back up your claims with credible reasoning.
Thanks in advance.

13. Of course the site doesn't do much
for you, Camaro. What do you think the "sight" should do for you? Unfortunately you might well end up with a faulty heart and stoney blind if you refuse to see the graphic truth.

12. What part of this do you not believe?
That children do not exist in Iraq? That they do not realize the gravity of their lives being torn apart, that they do not feel the fear of the unknown? That they have not witnessed the bombing and killing? Photoshopped my ass ! Denial is the last resort of having to face the truth.

14. A+ for emotional effect, but C- for communication effectiveness.
I recognize at least a dozen of those photos. They were taken in India before the U.S. invaded Iraq and are simply scenes of rural life, with a tinge of poverty being exposed.

I suspect there are several other non-Iraq photos too, though I didn't have the time to follow up and investigate them.

I agree with the overall theme that war hurts the children in very powerful ways beyond the usual stats on number of dead and wounded.

Is that the message of the webpage... a general anti-war and anti-poverty photo essay? If it's trying to make a statement about any particular war, it's not very clear.

Or is it just showing us pictures of dark-skinned kids around the world living and dealing with poverty and violence... sometimes associated with U.S. soldiers?

15. Indian women don't wear burkas.
Plenty of pictures with US soldiers and Iraqi children, Saddam's image, etc. What does it take for people to recognize that US actions in Iraq are affecting children in the most horrible ways? Saddam is in captivity, no WMDs, no nukes, no peace in Iraq, no necessities of life, no future for those children, many who are orphaned, and some people just don't give a damn because they are 'dark-skinned' kids. Denial of the truth is a fatal flaw.

26. If only more people understood
What these pictures convey. Killing poor people and children. And for what?

----------------------

I would like to point this picture out to G. Bush and all his misguided supporters.

What does this picture say to you? Take a good look at this poor father's face. What does it look like, what's on in his mind?

This picture displays a perfect example of what I tried to tell freepers on a freeper forum before. Our actions are creating the very thing we claim to be fighting. Although, if I am correct in reading this poor man's face, it would be incorrect to call this man a terrorist in the future. Instead it would be accurate to call him a resistance fighter.

32. let's all see to it that everyone sees it. I was sobbing when I first saw
it yesterday, couldn't even scroll all the way down, even though I felt it was my duty to do so. Mike Malloy was talking about it the other night. He said seeing these pictures had left a permanent dent in his soul. I think it is a very good idea to send it to as many people as possible, including Republicans. There are a lot of decent people who don't ever get to see what is really going on. Those people, whatever party they are in, will be outraged by these pictures.
