Nightline 1/28 to feature Iraq War Town Hall with possible fireworks
It looks like some fireworks could happen at the Nightline tonight with Joe Wilson given the possible avenue to rip a new one into Richard Perle's big fat pimply PNAC ass.

A snip from TheNote:

Speaking of Iraq, you will not want to miss tonight's "Nightline." The folks down the hall are producing a top-notch town hall meeting on Iraq. Ted Koppel will anchor from the St. John's Church on Lafayette Square across the street from the White House, often called the "Church of the Presidents." It is the same venue where Nightline hosted a town meeting two years ago, on the eve of the invasion of Iraq, called "Why Now?"

The audience will include military, both active and retired, military family, members of the audience from the previous town meeting, Iraqi-Americans, and a general audience with a wide variety of views. The panel will consist of former U.S. Ambassador Joe Wilson, defense consultant Richard Perle, Sen. George Allen, (R-VA) and Rep. Martin Meehan (D-MA.).

Why Now Redux indeed...

1. Iraq
Excellent! After this last election I was beginning to loose hope. However it's beginning to look like the facts are going to unseat George Bush even if the voters wouldn't.

2. I watched it last night.
A young marine captain stood up to say the president went to war with the best intelligence he had.He also said we would prevail. If it takes 2 years or 10 years.Ted then gave the microphone to a wheel chair bound Vietnam veteran who proceeded to blast the captains comments. He said what is this prevail crap?I got shot in Vietnam. In 1967 McNamara told Johnson we have lost this war.And yet Young American men continued to die for years to come.Real good show.Listening to applause, audience seemed to be split, pro-war and anti-war.
