You heard it here first - THE ELECTION WAS A SUCCESS !
No need to wait for Sunday's results. We can let you know the news ahead of time because it doesn't matter what happens on Sunday, it will be portrayed as a "success" by this Administration, and it will be portrayed likewise by the poodle media.

It doesn't matter if the election sites are disrupted by bombs and people are killed. They will have been brave to march to the polls in the face of such danger to cast their vote for "freedom". It will not matter that most of the voters will come from the southern and northern regions of Iraq - the areas that have been most peaceful since before and after the war. The actual war is in "central" Iraq - around Baghdad and surrounding cities. We should not expect the "turnout" to be exceedingly high in those areas. They do not have to vote at all for the election to be a "success".

The White House can give FOX and CNN a couple of personal stories of people that endured hardship to get to the polls and will extol the virtues of "democracy". Every little bit helps in the propaganda war. And it will not matter that the election will change nothing. In fact, there may be more violence afterwards.

3. Perhaps we should watch AP for Premature Post Election Coverage?
You know, like they had before the second Presidential Debate, when then told us (in past tense) how the two candidates faired? In fact, hell, I could write up some Post Iraqi Election Coverage right now if I cared to.

Blah blah blah some disturbances blah blah isolated incidences of insurgency blah blah blah blah freedom is on the march blah blah blah blah proud of their newfound democracy blah blah blah blah desire for liberty blah blah blah amazing success story blah blah.

Live, from Baghdad, I'm Shilly McShillerson.

5. Actually Second, some DUer managed to get the headline from the WH
ahead of time.

There was a previous thread on it.

But I also like your angle too.

I hope the Actors they hire to pretend to stand in line to wait to vote don't get to tired. Perhaps they will accidentally get their trailors or stand ins in frame.

6. If anyone disrupts with bombs, don't be surprized if we are the ones
doing the bombing! This time, I think we should hold the media accountable. Period! Their vacation is over!!!!

11. With 12 million reported registered, I'd expect 10 million votes!
and somehow the folks we wanted got in.

'cause Bush is very good at elections.

The "more violence afterwards" will be because they hate our freedoms.
